Introduction

Al Lauh is an Open Access Bi-annual Peer-Reviewed Print and Online Journal which has become an Academic Research Journal with an International Advisory Board representing various fields of research. The main aim of the journal is to promote the study of history, language, literature and culture through the publication of research articles. It is multilingual Research Journal. It is founded in 2022 by Dr Imrana Shahzadi.

Aims & Scope

Its aim is to highlight Islamic concepts to answer the questions and to find solutions of different issues arising in modern era in the light of Sharia.
The Journal aims to explore and bring forth innovative research-based concepts and practices in its discipline.
In this journal the study of the Arab world's classical and contemporary literatures, languages, history, thought, civilization and intercultural relations between Arab societies and the other cultural areas throughout history.
It is launched to promote study of Arabic and Islamic Research.
The Objective of Journal is to provide the reliable source of information on current developments in the field, to publish quality research articles and making them available to researchers worldwide.

Editorial Policy

Al-Lauh is purely an Islamic and Arabic learning Journal that occupies an exclusive status in the sphere of Islamic Studies, its editorial policy is as follows:

In Al-Lauh the research articles on the topics of Arabic language and literature and Quranic and Hadith literature will be published. The issues regarding Fiqh, Seerah, World Religions, Islamic Culture and mysticism will also be considered for publication.
It is bi-annual Journal which will be published in the month of Juna and December in a year.
Each article for consideration will be evaluated by two approved per reviewers foreign and International.
Rules and Regulations of HEC regarding publication of Al-Lauh will be applied.
The verdict of editorial board related to publication of article will be the last and final.
Editorial Board reserves the right to accept the articles without change, with changes or reject them.
Al-Lauh is not bound to comply with opinions of the writers.
Article sent to Al-Lauh will be in the ownership of Al-Lauh. They will be unreturnable.

Plagiarism Policy

All the articles submitted are screened for Plagiarism Policy as per guidelines of HEC (Pakistan). The Similarity Report on Turnitin should be below 20 percent.

Open Access System:

Al-Lauh will be published through an open-access journal system that allows readers to read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, or link to the full texts of its articles and to use them for any other legal purpose.

Review & Publication Policy

To ensure the excellence the publication of the article in Refereed Research Journal Al-Lauh for Arabic & Islamic Research is subjected to complete, thorough, comprehensive and confidential review. The review is made by independent and competent religious scholars who give their recommendations on the article being presented for publication

It strictly follows double blind peer review process for the publication of all research articles. The submitted manuscripts would be sent for evaluation by at least two independent referees, who are expert in the applicable field. The decision to accept or reject a manuscript rest solely with Al-Lauh Editorial Board. This decision is final. The Editorial Board will, however, base its decision primarily upon the recommendations of the referees who have evaluated the paper. For details kindly refer to Ethical guidelines.

Selection of Reviewers

A careful selection of national and international reviewers is made keeping in view their area of research. To get an unbiased review, the names of reviewers are kept confidential. All works submitted for publication are reviewed objectively without regard to authors, race, gender, religious view, citizenship, political tendency, age and reputation.

Article Publishing Rights Policy:

For Al-Lauh Journal to publish research articles, we need publishing rights. This is controlled by an arrangement between the author and Al-Lauh Journal. This arrangement manages the exchange or permit of the copyright to Al-Lauh Journal and writers hold critical rights to utilize and share their own distributed articles. Al-Lauh Journal underpins the requirement for authors to share effect of their articles and these rights, in Al-Lauh Journal. The Journal Al-Lauh holds all the privileges of articles distributed. All manuscripts will be available online after the publishing process.

Publication Fee

1. Publication Charge Policy

All articles published in The Al-Lauh are published in full open access. In order to provide free access to readers, and to cover the costs of peer review, typesetting, long-term archiving, and journal management, an article processing charge (APC) of 15,000 PKR applies to papers accepted after the peer-review process.

2. Sources of Funding

All the expenses of the journal will be borne by the Department of Arabic.

Author Guidelines

1.The article should be written in MS Word. In-page & PDF files would not be considered.

2.The Name of author, title/designation, email and mailing addresses, phone number and name of affiliated institution must be submitted along with manuscripts.

3.Two hard copies of manuscripts along with one soft copy or CD must be submitted. The article should not exceed 20 pages. An introduction of the topic (Abstract) and a complete list of citation and end notes must be accompanied by it.

4.Font style for English will be Times New Roman, Noori Nastaaliq for Urdu and Trade Arabic for Arabic. The citation style should be MLA/APA.

5.The inserted quotations of the other languages must be translated into the languages of the article.

6.The Research articles must be in dully composed form, free of all errors and omissions. The contributors can opt English, Urdu or Arabic languages.

7.The manuscripts submitted to Al-Lauh should not have been published elsewhere in another journal.

8.Name of only one Co-author with principal author will be accepted.

Instructions for Compilation:

Research article should contain as follows:

1 Abstract

In abstract there should be background and conclusion of the larger topic.

2 Key words

There should be five relevant keywords.

3 Introduction

A brief introduction of the work is mandatory at the start of article.

4 Subject Matter

In this portion, relevant details and arguments will be given.

5 Conclusion

By giving the arguments, conclusion should be shown at the end of the article.

6 Citation and the end notes

Citation and the end notes should be given to acknowledge the different sources used in the work.
