Abstract

Proverbs hold very high standing among all nations of the world because they reflect human life, wisdom and recap of their experiences. The fact is that the proverbs are the finest arts of literature and have profound impact on the broad humanitarian daily life of every segment of the society.  The proverbs in Quran Kareem have full of knowledge and wisdom and there are many writers, scholars and interpreters of Quran who worked on it in different eras. When we study the Quranic and Urdu proverbs, we find many Quranic and Urdu language proverbs, which have different wording, but they are similar in meanings. The first chapter of this study discusses Quranic proverbs, their importance whereas second chapter deals with Urdu proverbs. The third chapter discusses Quranic proverbs and their equivalents in meanings in Urdu language.
