Abstract

Protection of life is one of the key objective among five objectives of Shariah. Islam has given top priority to peace in all circumstances. Until rule of justice, life for life that is death penalty; is not enforced practically, law and order situation cannot be improved. Allah says in Quran, one who kills an innocent, kills entire humanity; one who saves a life, saves whole humanity. To relieve a murderer through ransom money and pardon him is like being cruel and unjust to society and whole humanity
