Abstract

Research is a perpetual investigation of realities. The Muslims are regarded as the pioneers who laid the foundations for the principles of research. Shariah proclaims to make investigation and guides to employ research methodology as it finds its solid basis in the Quran and the Hadith. The study, at hand, concentrates on measures and standards of research, its conventions and principles and historical evolution. This researchal inquiry has been declared imperative for the Muslims. The Muhaddesin have explained the method of preservation of valid hadiths and have explicated its subject matter clear so that it could be possible to act upon valid hadiths and, in addition, it does also make it feasible to make out the subject context of the hadith. In this regard, the teachings of the Quran and the Hadiths, the sayings of the companions and Taabeen and the services of the great jurists have been presented by upholding measures of research.

The strength of this discipline has been proved in the light of intellect and research by observing the rules and principles of Hadith and its historical evolution. Many fundamental books have been introduced to make the contextual meanings clear. In the end of this article, the responses of other religions have also been recorded in order to know how these preserved the words and sayings of their religious leaders. It also highlights comprehensively the acknowledgment of the orientalists for the preservation of Hadith.
