Abstract

   This research delves into the linguistic, rhetorical, and communicative dimensions within Abdul Hakim al-Siyalkuti's commentary on al-Baydawi's seminal work, "al-Baydawi." Al-Siyalkuti's approach is characterized by a meticulous analysis of Quranic verses, offering additional insights and interpretations to augment the original text. The linguistic analysis scrutinizes al-Siyalkuti's choice of language, syntactic structures, and terminology, aiming to unveil the stylistic nuances that define his exegesis. Furthermore, the research explores the rhetorical strategies employed, including metaphors, similes, and emphatic devices, assessing their effectiveness in conveying the intended meanings. A comprehensive study of vocabulary and terminology sheds light on the precision and impact of al-Siyalkoti's linguistic choices, emphasizing their role in facilitating a deeper understanding of al-Baydawi's content. The communicative function of his commentary has evaluated, considering how language and style influence the reader's comprehension and engagement. In summary, this research endeavors to unravel the intricacies of Abd ul-Hakim al-Siyalkuti's linguistic, rhetorical, and communicative techniques in his commentary on al-Baydawi, contributing to the broader exploration of Islamic scholarly discourse.
