Abstract

One's love for one's country is a natural feeling, which exists in every human being. The relationship between a man and his country cannot be described in words. A person's relationship with his country is like the relationship between fish and water or the tree and air. Ghazi Abdul Rahman Al Qasibi and Amjad Islam Amjad, although both the poets are related to different languages and regions yet both are common in some values. One of these values is the spirit of patriotism. When we study their poetry, we find love of the country in their poems. Since both of them are contemporary and their ideas are also similar. Both of them fall in love with the country, and in every beautiful thing in the universe, they see glimpse of their homeland. The laconic article aims at bringing forth some salient distinctive features of Al Qasibi and Amjad Islam Amjad's patriotic poetry. Both the poets are one in their view point of love for the country as their love is apparent for their beloved. Further more Al Qasibi and Amjad Islam Amjad's poetry is enriched with their unique style and outstanding diction as there runs a blend of love, beauty, realism and patriotism throughout poetic works that enhances the grandeur of their poetics works and enkindles patriotism.
